Open your 2009-2010 ski
season at the largest ski resort in America - Vail! What more can you
say? Rated as the number one North American ski Resort by the readers
of most ski publications for 14 of the past 21 years, Vail is simply
the best. There are 32 ski lifts serving the vast skiable terrain and
seven back bowls. One of them - chair 20 - serves as a route to your
home at Vail, the ski-in ski-out Cascade Resort and Spa. Located on the
banks of the Gore Creek, the Cascade gives you 4 star accommodations
including complimentary ski valet, two “on-site” ski shops, spa and
boutiques. You will also have complimentary shuttle service to the rest
of Vail Village and Lionshead. I am certain that all of you are
familiar with the famous nightlife and dining that is unique to Vail.
For those of you who have not
experienced Vail, it is big! 7 miles wide with 5,000 acres of skiable
terrain surrounded by 12,000 foot peaks! You can expect powder as Vail
gets an average of 350 inches of snow per year. Vail’s base elevation
is 8,120 feet with a vertical drop of 3,450 feet. If that does not keep
you busy, you are within a few minutes of Beaver Creek and Copper
Mountain for a day of skiing in a neighboring resort.
If you are not aware, this is
a “kid friendly” trip. Family participation is encouraged, so feel free
to bring your child or grandchild. If they are under 12 and stay in
your room, you will pay the cost of their airline ticket only. Ski
School and lift tickets for them will have to be purchased separately.
